Rammy

In the words of the artist, Harvey Steinhaus:

“I’m inspired by the local scenery. Cityscapes especially alleyways, the countryside and marinas. When the street art opportunity came along I wanted it to reflect our community. The sculpture I selected to decorate was a ram with fine large horns. I found out that the Rio Vista high school team was named the Rams, so this seems like a natural fit. The uniform jersey is red to match the school color. Pants are gold contrast against the white fleece, and color is also part of a regional football culture. I feel honored to have my ram located at the waterfront. His name is Rammy. He will have a great view of the river.”
