I am a 2022 Rio Vista High School graduate and will be attending the Savannah College of Art & Design starting fall 2022.
Art is a great outlet for my creativity and I enjoy expressing myself through my art. Watercolor is my favorite medium because I’m fascinated by its unique qualities. Ever since I was young, I was thoroughly entertained with arts and crafts projects. I want to thank my high school art teacher, Elias Rivera, who encouraged my artistic interests. I like to support community art projects, so was happy to be involved with the Rio Vision Rock the Flock project. I have previously submitted work to the Humphrey the Whale Bass Derby drawing contest, the Rio Vision town improvement design contest, and the Rio Vision gallery painting exhibition. With my 4-H Arts & Crafts club, I submitted a project to the Recycled art exhibition and contributed to the painted bench on 2nd Street. I have volunteered at the DH White Art Night and the RVHS Affair of the Arts. I’m excited to attend art school and study Illustration, Animation and Fashion Design. I’m looking forward to a career in the arts.
